For the 7th installment of the 5 Minute InTRUview; I talk to a well known blogger, consultant, and all around Idea lady, Sneh Roy of Little box of Ideas and Cook Republic.

Trudesign:LBOI? but you aren’t a boy…are you? who are you anyways?

Sneh Roy:I am Sneh and LBOI is short for Little Box Of Ideas.
SR:Well I am a little box of ideas, so technically I am LBOI

Tru:Sneh? thats a super interesting name, where are you from?

SR:I am originally from India and Sneh is Sanskrit for “love”

Tru:Thats super awesome, you said originally, do you ever go back to visit?

SR:I haven’t been to India in almost 6 years now, I have only visited twice in the past 12 years

Tru:I’ve never moved, well thats a lie, but only once.  So whats your favorite branding project?
Tru:Like do you prefer a genre or type of organization to work with?

SR:moving is not very fun, is it? I am done with my share of packing boxes
SR:Actually any kind, I prefer any kind, the more variety the better. I do have a soft soft for branding projects that require a touch of “whimsy“
SR:It could be a big company or an individual, as long as they have that free adventurous spirit, it makes it more fun for me

Tru:I can see that just by your cool icons on your blog, speaking of your blog, do you love to write?

SR:I lOVE to talk
SR:and since there isn’t anyone home to indulge my chatterbox, I write
SR:I love to Write

Tru:Hahah, gotta get yourself Dragon naturally speaking to transcribe for you then  1 minute left.
Tru:You write a lot about consulting and the design business, do you ever write for more personal means, fiction maybe?

SR:no .. all my fiction is safe in a leatherbound book
SR:might publish it someday though
SR:I am also working on a cookbook

Tru:Would you design it yourself?

SR:absolutely
SR:with illustrations on every other page

Tru:OOOH COOKING! Favorite meal to cook?

SR:anything chicken and desserts .. wicked choclatey sinful ones!

Tru:That sounds super awesome. Can’t wait till it hits the shelves, our time is up, Next time you bring the brownies

SR:will do  thanks very much for the interview Chris! It was heaps of fun! look forward to seeing it on your site

Love me some cooking. Did you know the MOST popular blogs on the internet are cooking blogs? Guess I’m in the wrong field. Check out Sneh’s Twitter, and her web sites. I’ll be sure to do a feature of her book when she comes out with it!

Come by tomorrow when I catch up with Erik Straub, the other half of sum(design)!
