Here we are with the 3rd installment of my 5 Minute InTRUviews; the interview series where I take people I don’t really know much about who are active in the design community and try to get to know them in 5 minutes! This time I caught up with Tim Fox of Sogeshirts.com (and Teesinapod!)
Trudesign: What the heck is a soge, Oh and who are ya? […] 1 minutes, you are a man with a long elevator speech huh?
Tim Fox: Ah Soge stands for a company David and I started for all our websites. It stands for Son of Grace Enterprises. I’m just a guy that likes to be creative and David and I were coming up with ideas for websites. We did a few and got bored. We wanted to tap into our creativity. […] So we did tshirts instead since he is a graphic artist.
Tru: Excellent, Where do you hail from?
TF: I’m from Carlsbad California. Southern California area. […] Near San Diego
Tru: Do you prefer a higher than 400 thread count on your bed sheets?
TF: Over 400 is optimal haha.
Tru: Are you an unfortunate Chargers fan?
TF: lmao sure am. It’s painful […] every year the same ending
Tru: Lots political and economical going on in Cali, do you let that get into your shirt designs at all?
TF: Economics sometimes. We have stayed away from politics lately. Politics bore me.
Tru: Ever do charity work in the name of Soge?
TF: Not yet.
Tru: Do you think the Governator should carry around a gattling gun all the time? […] 1 minute
TF: definitely especially with the California economy the way it is.
Tru: Whats your favorite pie, and have you ever thought of featuring said pie on a tshirt
TF: cherry pie cause she’s my cherry pie. Nope.
Tru: Wheres the cheesecake? […] DAHHH
TF: next to the pie […] imo
Tru: lol 5 minutes is up
TF: haha cool that was fun
Tru: Thanks so much Tim, I was struggling there myself
